Stellar Murumba is a Nairobi-based Financial Journalist with a bias in Health investigative writing. She is an impactAFRICA grantee 2017, currently reporting for the Business Daily Africa under the Nation Media Group, Kenya. Prior to taking up this post in August 2015, she was a correspondent for the Daily Nation and Sunday Nation in the Nyeri Bureau. She is a Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa Fellow 4th cohort and a runner up Integrity Champion Awards 2016 (recognised for her audacity to report fraud surrounding the Sh5 billion heist in the Ministry of Health). She was also a finalist in the inaugural Zimeo Excellence in Media Awards-2015 (Science Category) and a fellow of The University of Nairobi.
This project seeks to establish the prevalence of counterfeit medicine in three Kenyan cities to inform policies.
