Kim is a multimedia journalist with Health-e News Service in Johannesburg, South Africa. She produces underreported stories related to health inequality across the country. She has her BPhil in Journalism from the University of Stellenbosch and her MPhil in African Studies from the University of Cambridge. Prior to working with Health-e she was a freelancer reporting from different African countries. She loves combining community voices with innovative storytelling to bring awareness to social justice issues.
Using an SMS tool, Health-e will engage with survivors of sexual assault, allowing them to share their experiences while connecting them with counseling services. This database will then be used for innovative storytelling methods.
